Dr. Laura Engel

Dr. Engel has been with us for nine years already (we know she looks young). A graduate of Cornell, she loves all facets of general veterinary practice, but can always be counted on when a tough surgery appears. She has a wonderful mutt named Bennie that she adopted from the hospital, and who has actually graduated from the Therapy Dog International class right here at our Troy office. Dr. Engel is a die hard Yankees fan who believes that next year they will be back in the playoffs (unlike the Mets).

He and his wife, Jillian, moved to the area this past year with their two rescues-Belle, a "coconut retriever" from St. Kitts, and Java, a rescue from the streets of St. Paul, Minnesota. John enjoys attempting flyfishing on his time off but admits to being unsuccessful at it. He looks forward to meeting all of our Troy clients and hearing about their four legged family members.
