Dr. Bonnie Robertson
Dr. Robertson graduated from the Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She is originally from New England so she returned to the cold, and has been with us since starting her career. She really enjoys internal medicine and has a special passion for rehabilitating sick and injured strays and helping them find their forever homes. She shares her home with a cat named Hamish and likes to go home to her family's dairy farm in the country whenever she can. She is a yoga aficiando, and is also currently in school furthering her education in gerontology and end of life issues.

Dr. Robertson enjoys working with cats, and is looking to develop a Pawspice program for our hospitals.

Dr. Laura Engel
Dr. Engel has been with us for nine years already (we know she looks young). A graduate of Cornell, she loves all facets of general veterinary practice, but can always be counted on when a tough surgery appears. She has a wonderful mutt named Bennie that she adopted from the hospital, and who has actually graduated from the Therapy Dog International class right here at our Troy office. Dr. Engel is a die hard Yankees fan who believes that next year they will be back in the playoffs (unlike the Mets).

Dr. Engel is always interested in advancing her knowledge of surgery and anesthesia.

Dr. John VanLieshout
Dr. VanLieshout- or Dr. John as we usually call him- is our most recent addtion to the Troy Veterinary Hospital team. He grew up in Rome, NY on his family's dairy farm. He and his wife, Jillian, moved to the area this past year with their two rescues-Belle, a "coconut retriever" from St. Kitts, and Java, a rescue from the streets of St. Paul, Minnesota. John enjoys attempting flyfishing on his time off but admits to being unsuccessful at it. He looks forward to meeting all of our Troy clients and hearing about their four legged family members.

Niagra University-2011 Majored in criminology and criminal justice with a monor in environmental studies in chemistry

Dr. VanLieshout loves all facets of practice but he is particularly enjoying dermatology and ultrasonography.
